With the new year just around the corner, the city of Houston is gearing up to celebrate this anticipated day. If you are still unsure of your plans this weekend, check out these budget friendly events happening all over Houston!
- New Year’s Eve Family Celebration at Kemah Boardwalk
Saturday, December 31st from 10:30 am to 11:00 pm
All ages are invited to enjoy a day of celebration at Kemah Boardwalk. The evening will feature free live music and fireworks at 10pm. The event ends at 10:30pm, but neighboring restaurants and bars will continue past midnight. There’s no charge to attend and enjoy the entertainment. Any food and drink you buy are on you.

Pick up an “All Access Pass” at pubcrawls.com to get drink specials, free New Years eve admission to Midtown bars including Midtown Drinkery, Capitol Bar, Christian’s Tailgate, and more. Ticketholder registration is between 6pm and 11pm to claim their wristbands. Full price tickets start at $9.95

Grab your family & close friends to celebrate the New Year with good drinks, hammocks, pizza, and great music. They will even have a special Discoball countdown and drink specials all evening. Welcome the new year with Memorial City and enjoy live music on The Square complete with a screening of the ball drop from Times Square on the big screen and a champagne toast at midnight. This event is free to attend.
